Review on Jabra Evolve Mono Professional Communicaton by Aaron Johnson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Uh, go. The best in accessories and consumables

While the headset is okay for a cheap design, there are a few notable issues.1. The key is quite heavy, which is why it pulls on one ear. It was a lot lighter on my previous model.2. The buttons are not tactile like my previous Jabra. You must physically look at the keys each time, otherwise you risk pressing the wrong key.3. The microphone can only be positioned up and down, you cannot bend it further away from your face.4. Dim light is very difficult to see. The sound on/off signal is reversed to the light. This. Sound on = light, but the beep is "off". It takes some getting used to not being able to see the light well. But then again, since the buttons aren't tactile, you'll still be looking at them. Pros 1. The noise cancellation seems pretty good, although it still picks up noise from my computer. 2. I find that comments about listening to breathing can be easily resolved by simply placing the mic under the chin. My previous Jabra had a foam mic pouch which solved the breathing issue a little more reliably, but this one seems good.3. Better quality cable than my previous Jabra as I can tell after a full week of use. That's pretty much the only improvement. The failure of the cable after 3 years of use was the reason I had to punish the new headset in the first place.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
