My son has a growing collection of toy vehicles that go really well with our rugs and hurt to step on. So I tried to find a way to keep them off the ground. I first tried hot wheel containers and while aesthetically pleasing, they are expensive and difficult for my young son to open the container. making him frustrated and even less motivated to collect his toys. Thanks to Pinterest, I found an article where someone used these Hot Wheels organizers and decided to give it a try. Encouraged by the reviews, I bought 2 of these containers. Arrived faster than promised and was pleasantly surprised. that the outer part of the case is made of thicker plastic. The plastic is transparent, not cloudy, so you can clearly see what's in the case. Because of its simplicity, my son didn't jump up and start putting cars into slots like he did with the hot-fork suitcase. However, when I started popping in a few, he joined in and we slotted them into the slots together. I liked how they fit into the slots so you can see what the cars look like when the case is closed. Some of his cars were a little longer than the slot, but I was able to angle them. A few more cars were too long and I saved them for 1 slot on either side that has a 'missing' separator. We could also put Disney Pixar cars in the slots! They're little more than hot wheels or Matchbox cars. (1:55 vs 1:64 I believe) I once showed my young son how to open and close a box and reminded him that he heard the latch "click" when he closed it, or all cars. will fall out. He could easily open and close this organizer. No more disappointment! He liked looking at the box to see what he wanted before opening it and picking up exactly the car (and I liked that he didn't have to toss the cars out of the bin to find what he was looking for ). The handle is comfortable for me to carry the box, but my son found it a bit heavy when filled with hot wheels. I also think it's great that you can stack the boxes on top of each other to save space or put them on their side to show both sides. I'm a bit worried about how long the bar will last, but other than that I'm very happy with this purchase. It costs a lot less than Hot Wheels brand car organizers, you can see what's inside, and it folds up nicely. Now the real test. to see if the cars return to the container after playing! :) whether the cars return to the container after playing! :) whether the cars return to the container after playing! :)
