This product is made of durable MDF with an aluminum frame. The screws are a bit cheap, but you shouldn't have any trouble installing them with a screwdriver. The surface is very pleasant, slightly "stubborn". Storage boxes are great, but only for light items. I can put most of my sketchbooks and other books in the space below. As expected and very happy with it. However, upon inspection, I didn't realize that the boxes were fabric, so it was surprising when I assembled them, they were quite flimsy. I want to say that it was difficult to put together, but really. I just had to be patient. All the parts were there and had very specific accurate instructions. I don't know if this is the table I received or if it was made that way but the quality of the drawers is terrible. There is nothing to hold them in place and there is no bottom so the bottom drawer slides a lot and falls out. I had to try to attach it with cardboard and tape to create a makeshift floor. The final product was fine. The finishes are good, all the hinges and mechanical devices work without any problems. My problem with the table arose when we started assembling it. Holes were not drilled in 4 different places where holes should have been. One set was drilled on the wrong side which reduced stability a bit but hasn't been a problem so far.
