Excellent quality. Well done. WARNING. Our cat came out of a catch and release program, which means they catch the cat, fix it, cut off the ear and release it back where they found it. It was a barn rescue and there were about 100 cats there. They took care of them and then realized that almost all of these cats weren't true ferrets, so they found homes for them. We have two of these and have had them for over a year now. They were garage cats, meaning they lived in a garage and could get in and out as they pleased. One day one of them just didn't look right. We immediately took her to the vet where she was diagnosed with an ear infection. We brought them in because we thought we would heal them and let them out again. Unfortunately, conventional treatments didn't work and they were all tried before being cultivated and then slowly recovered. Worse, it upset her balance due to the scars. This is where the collar comes into play. We thought she needed it in case she slipped out, we don't want anyone seeing her cropped ear and trying to move her. Those are the coyotes. When I first put the collar on she immediately tried to take it off and managed to get caught in her lower teeth/jaws. I noticed it wasn't tight enough and tightened it. The next day she did the same thing, fixed it again and thought everything was fine. A few hours later I heard a gurgling sound and found it immediately. She vomited a lot of saliva. It was worse this time. She managed to separate the layers and peel off the top layer while suffocating. For some reason her clip didn't come off. I walked over and snatched it up pretty easily. What I did was measure it around her neck and then sew a line down the center of the collar. We can't set it up right now, but it comes off easily and we haven't had any more problems. I don't know if this will be an issue for a cat that always wears a collar or if she doesn't have a bell (which doesn't seem to like it) we'll take it off when her brand arrives. We wanted her to get used to some dangling. I really like the quality, just be careful until you are sure you are not having the same problems as us. It does not have a bar that can be adjusted so that the cat does not separate the two thicknesses.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
