Review on Shifting Stones By Gamewright: A Tile-Based Family Strategy Game For Sharpening Visual And Tactical Decision-Making Skills by Derek Evans

Fun family game for my opinion

I received this game as a Christmas gift. We were really surprised how much fun it was. It's the type of game that you could play with many age groups. It does make you think, problem solve a little, but not so much that you can't be social while you play. I really like a game that allows me to connect with others, is interesting, but also allows for conversation. The nice thing about this game is that the board is always changing so you don't really have to concentrate too much until it's your turn. However, when it is your turn you do need to think through a bunch of scenarios in your head to figure out the best course of action. I would definitely get this game out to play with friends.

Pros
  • Fun to play, easy to learn and beautiful graphics.
Cons
  • Not a fast game, can drag on for too long
