I bought this to control low temperatures in a detached garage. I wanted to use it with Alexa so I can ask Alexa for the current temperature. Basically, I wanted to have a backup Alexa Echo that I have in my garage that has dropped 10 degrees in temperature. Well the app works well, actually I like it and I find it very accurate. I love being able to watch the temperature over hours, days, weeks etc. Unfortunately I bought this particular device because it says "Works with Alexa". Well it isn't. I only received it once to reply with a temperature. Every time it says it can't find and rename the device. I believe it should also appear in the list of devices in Alexa. It doesn't matter how many times I turn the Govee skill off and on again. . I even changed the name of the thermometer in hopes that would solve the problem. Nothing I did helped, so I decided to contact their "support". I put the word "support" in quotes because that's what Govi calls it. But the reality is my 5 year old grandson could offer better support. I'm also not new to using Wi-Fi devices straight from China. I use many other Wi-Fi devices based on SmartLife, Geeklink, Avatar Controls, etc. But that ability doesn't work with Alexa, and they shouldn't say it.
