Review on πŸ”§ High-Performance DEA A2625 Transmission Mount: Unparalleled Stability and Durability by Omar Card

Do not buy unless you plan to replace again in a few weeks

I was replacing the exhaust on my 98 xj and needed to replace the exhaust bracket which sits on top of the gearbox bracket. I figured since I already had to remove the transmission cross member I would replace the transmission mount which was showing some wear. Two weeks after I replaced the bracket with this part it was in worse shape than the original which was 20 years old. The vibrations were crazy. The transmission actually bounced up and down when accelerating. This mount couldn't even support the weight of the gearbox and was completely flattened (the metal part on top touched the bottom part). The rubber part of the mount began to peel off pieces of metal. They would probably be a couple after a while. Once removed I was able to deform the part by hand simply by squeezing it, no wonder it took no torque from the gearbox. I should have taken a picture but I was too eager to throw it in the trash where it should be. In short, do not buy. This only works for a week or two. Spend a little more money and buy a Mopar mount.

Cons
  • Very expensive
