View works sometimes but installation issues

Well, so much for a browser that installs this in 10 minutes. It took me four hours in my 1991 Toyota Previa. In addition to the door panels, I had to remove the entire window as well as all window hinges/rollers - just to get to the motor itself and the three rear mounting bolts. The instructions provided were pathetic; You referred me to my repair manual. My Haynes manual doesn't say anything about this repair other than that it's too complicated for a do-it-yourselfer. After having to reinstall everything I managed to get it working but the polarity was reversed even though the wiring could only be connected one way. Even when the window is fully open it sticks and needs to be moved by hand a few inches before it lifts itself up, after which it works fine - about 3 times in a row when the motor overheats and stops working for about half an hour. Generally not a very successful repair. I generously award 3 stars. Next time I'll take an OEM Toyota engine for three times the price.
