Use the foam grip as a cap
Like other commenters, the foam grip slips and rotates when torque is applied. I just completely removed the foam grip with the white plastic liner. This leaves a nice solid knurled grip that works great when screwed on. Then just put a foam grip on the end of the pen as a protective cap when you toss it in the tool box.
