Review on Heritage Hill Glass Cookie/Candy Jar: πŸͺ A Classic 1/2 Gallon Anchor Hocking Treasure by Heather Richards

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Heavy Duty Glass, Sealless Lids!

I bought several Anchor Hocking Heritage Hill 1 gallon glass jars to store kibble on the counter as I bake regularly and wanted easy access to my ingredients. I specifically wanted a large jar with a wide mouth, no lid (to keep moisture out) and a glass lid and these jars fit my needs. I've been using them for 6 years now and use them several times a week. I received one that had a factory defect (trills on the glass) and was quickly replaced with the Revain.Pros1. Manufactured from heavy duty thick glass.2. The entire jar including the lid is BPA3 free. Wide opening for easy pouring and scooping4. Large capacity (holds a 5 lb bag of flour)5. Made in the USA Cons 1. Lid only sits on top, no gasket or seal. This means it cannot be used to store cane (brown) sugar as it requires a sealed container to keep moisture out. Overall, I highly recommend these jars for easy ingredient storage (especially if you bake often) or for storing other household items (like fancy soaps/sponges). Excellent rating
