Review on BONMIXC Bike Bell: Loud, Clear & Pure Tone - Long Sustained Sound by Nick Granner

Clear bell tone, but needs a larger diameter mounting ring for us with grownup bikes

When riding down the sidewalk or street on my bike, I thought a bell would be nicer than me yelling, Hey you, get out of my way! So I got this one- classic brass- I'm not a kid, so didn't want a Hello Kitty or Ninja Turtle bell. The bell does it's job, has a nice clear little Ding (just a double ding- one ding as the lever is pushed forward, a second ding as it springs back in position). My only issue with it is the size of the ring holder. I have a Specialized bike, and the handlebars are thick and space on them is at a premium with the gear shifters. I had a hard time finding a spot with small enough diameter to loop this bell onto. It would be nice if they offered an alternate mounting diameter ring with the bell for bikes with these bigger, larger diameter handlebars. I ended up affixing it to the bar ends of the handlebar- not ideal, but it works.

Pros
  • The BONMIXC Bike Bell is easy to install and fits all standard handlebars
Cons
  • The sound may not be audible in windy weather
