I recently purchased a 55 gallon hexagonal acrylic container along with a Novus 3 step kit and a set of polishing pads. After two days of polishing and visiting a chiropractor, my container looks amazing! That being said, I couldn't stand the thought of a cleaning pad scratching my tank! After some searching I finally tried it and I'm amazed, not a single scratch, believe me I checked! Be gentle and take care of your substrate (mine is sand) and you'll be fine! Imagine having an egg between your finger and the pad to apply pressure. Hope this helps!
