Review on Brooks Adrenaline GTS 20: A Dynamic Running Shoe for Men by Jermaine Munajj

Worn out in a few weeks

I've had Adreneline GTS 19 through 20 and found them to wear out much quicker than the Asics Foundations or Kayanos I wore before deciding to try Brooks . (Adreneline seems more comfortable right away – they feel a lot softer, so a friend suggested trying them.) 19 lasted 2 months max before the structure in the shoe broke and the sole wore out to the toe, my feet kept rolling outside, where wear and tear was heaviest. (For me this is a typical example of wear and tear, I have to throw my shoes away, but Asics last at least 3-4 months.) The 20's have worn out even worse than the 19's. After 13 days of use (approx. 30 km) the outsole was noticeably worn - the tread was almost completely worn on the outside. After 30 days, the internal structure was also worn out and the shoe was soft underfoot. When my foot starts to dangle in the shoes I get pain from foot to knee so I had to give them up after about 60 miles. I can't afford to buy new shoes 12 times a year.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Good but not great
