Cloud Running - Athletic

First of all I would advise anyone considering these shoes to go to a running store and try Brooks Adrenaline on. They run one size larger and are designed for specific foot types and running styles. Aside from that I use them to replace my Adrenalin 19s which I got about a year ago. Personally I'm a huge fencing fan and love the 5. When I first ran on them I ran 3 miles with no problems and even shaved 30 seconds a mile. Brooks is a trusted brand for me, so I'll be sticking with them for a…

Best version so far Runs

I've been riding Adrenaline GTS since version 6 and usually drive about 400 miles before switching to a new one (2 pairs a year on the road on average). I'm not tall/short, about 5ft 11 and 188, and the GTS has been a very reliable running shoe for me over the years. I've ridden this pair about 50 miles since I bought them and I think this is the best version yet. I thought the switch to "Guides" in version 19 might have been a bug, but in this version, which looks a bit slimmer than previous…

Light and comfortable

I received them today in size 9 wide. For comparison, I tried on the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 in size 9D (Medium) and they fit perfectly. I have Adidas Ultraboost 20 in 9D and it's ok. However, I looked at them and found that most Brook shoes are narrower so I went with the wide ones and they have the same fit as the Pegasus and Ultraboost 20. So for them I would recommend 1/2 Number to get larger width if width "D" fits you like a sock. Overall they are quite comfortable and offer ample…

Worn out in a few weeks

I've had Adreneline GTS 19 through 20 and found them to wear out much quicker than the Asics Foundations or Kayanos I wore before deciding to try Brooks . (Adreneline seems more comfortable right away – they feel a lot softer, so a friend suggested trying them.) 19 lasted 2 months max before the structure in the shoe broke and the sole wore out to the toe, my feet kept rolling outside, where wear and tear was heaviest. (For me this is a typical example of wear and tear, I have to throw my shoes

15 (X-wide) The best shoe a tall guy could dream of

For starters, I am 6ft 5 inches tall, weigh 335 pounds and have been diagnosed with hammer toe. I went up to 365 pounds after my wife had a baby and since February I've managed to lose 30 pounds, albeit painfully. It got to the point where my old running shoes were more of a hindrance than a help, so I decided to look for new shoes that would help me continue to lose weight and train towards my ultimate goal of running a half marathon in November. . After going through countless lists of the…

Best for running

I use them for what I would call power walking. I'm 71 and ride 4 miles every day at dawn on forest trails, some of them in the hills. I was using a pair of relatively new New Balance running shoes. I felt like I needed extra support as my legs seemed to "fall off" even more than they had gotten older. There was nothing wrong with the NB shoes, but I was just wondering if there was anything better. I remembered having a pair of Brooks many years ago when I was really running and they were very…

PERFECT for flat feet or plantar fasciitis

I don't often give 5 star reviews but they are finally setting me free! I had to do a lot of research before buying new hiking/running shoes. I've had horrible flat feet since childhood and am just recovering from a long battle with plantar fasciitis. I wanted shoes without insoles. I've always hated paying $100 for shoes and having to rip out the insole to replace with my own orthopedic shoes. I walked 200,000 steps in it and finally found shoes that didn't require insoles! Pros: supportive…
