I received them today in size 9 wide. For comparison, I tried on the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 in size 9D (Medium) and they fit perfectly. I have Adidas Ultraboost 20 in 9D and it's ok. However, I looked at them and found that most Brook shoes are narrower so I went with the wide ones and they have the same fit as the Pegasus and Ultraboost 20. So for them I would recommend 1/2 Number to get larger width if width "D" fits you like a sock. Overall they are quite comfortable and offer ample cushioning from heel to toe. I plan to run short distances in them, around 800-5000m, but obviously they are made for longer distances due to the cushioning. If you plan to train for middle distance or sprinting, I'd say they're good for your shins, ankles, and knees, but aren't designed for speed training. I will update in a few months.
