I bought two different sizes, one for my 6 month old and one for my 7 year old. The baby wore a snow white dress and the 7-year-old was dressed in ivory, the jacket looking beautiful on both. The baby's sleeves were a bit long but that's no surprise I think it's perfect for 2-3 year olds. The fabric is soft and not unacceptably bulky. Only the lining is very thin. I was hoping the girls wouldn't need another jacket over them, but they did (it was over 40 degrees outside). But overall it looked great.
