Let me start by saying this is one of the nicest items I have ever ordered from Amazon. The quality is excellent, the material is very comfortable and warm. It reminds me of neoprene, waterproof on the outside but soft fleece on the inside. I've decided to go bigger even though all my dog sizes were about average size. My pup is never average, she is a 65lb American Staffy, she is usually xxl as she has a large neck and chest. Well the large one was too big and didn't fit her like I had hoped so I made an exchange. I couldn't be happier with how perfect the setting is! Now I can use the built in suspension if I want. I couldn't trust him before, but now he's perfect. Light orange and gray look good against the fawn color of my puppies. Makes it eye-catching and easy to see. The back zip makes it easy to put on and take off. I let her climb in and then zip it up. There is a reflective strip along the seat belt to make it visible even at night. I decided to carefully cut the rear leg holders. My dog didn't seem to like them and didn't need them to support his back so I took them off. My only wish is for it to be in different colors because I swear I would buy it in every one! When in doubt, I can only say: try it out. I'm so happy I did. We live in New England so our winters are pretty cold and dirty. I am thrilled my pup will be wearing this in the cold months ahead. For size reference, she weighs about 65 pounds, has a 20 inch neck, 31 inch chest and about 21 inches from neck to base of tail. Zipper closure, it doesn't pull or anything, it just literally fits like it was made for her. We recommend!
