The description said it came with instructions but there weren't any. Wall anchors are weak and screws are too short to hold firmly in drywall. The screw holes were placed in such a way that it was impossible to access without pulling out one of the pins holding the rubber grip, but once I figured out how to change things for correct installation it works properly and works exactly as it should I need it. Remove one of the end caps and slide one hook so both hooks are on the outside of the hooks. It comes with a hook between the handles and it just doesn't work. I have the same 5 arm holder in my garage that I bought at my local hardware store, but I needed one with 2 arms for my back room. This halter style is by far the best of any style I've tried in the past. The holder also comes with glue (looks like superglue). I would not recommend this option at all. The force required to pull the handles out of the scissors makes it easy to remove the entire unit from any wall surface.
