Do not use with acetone

If you buy these for home use or as disposable staining and specimen storage sticks, they're fine. If you plan to use it in a professional setting or reuse it to try different nail art techniques I would recommend a different product. They are very transparent but the plastic is very flexible and cheap. As other people have said, there are inconsistencies where you might need to put them down, and there's extra plastic around the edges. None of this bothered me as I was just using samples of my existing nail polishes. The part that got me was that I drew a whole pack of the nail polish collection I had and then I tried to do nail art on one and I just use 100% acetone to remove the nail polish. I made a few dots on a pattern pen and tried to erase them with a cotton swab dipped in some acetone and quickly ran my finger across them. Then go straight to the blurry/white wand pattern. I did it again and found that the acetone had eaten through the hole in the sample stick. To make sure it wasn't just a faulty wand I took one from the other ring and dyed it and then dipped it in acetone for less than 5 seconds and when I pulled it out the wand head went completely white and soft and then when I touched , it broke off and dissolved a little. Since I was planning on using some of these for nail art before I would apply them to my nails, they don't work for me. Realizing this, I performed another test by dipping the stick in acetone for 15 seconds. Sometimes when you use glitter polishes your nails get wet so I wanted to see what happens if I make it longer. When I pulled the stick out, it was the consistency of plastic wrap. It was slimy white and just completely crumbled. Generally if you just want to apply a coat of nail polish and use it for your own use then you're fine, but the plastic is still pretty flexible so if you're not careful with yours you'll break with moderate use. They are very cheap so you get what you pay for. If you plan on painting and repainting yourself with a base coat, this won't work.
