Review on 🎒 Himawari Waterproof Backpack for College Women, 14-inch by Mike Hernandez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cute and functional

I was looking for a backpack that I could comfortably carry around campus (I'm about 5 feet tall) as large backpacks put a lot of strain on my back and shoulders. This one fits so far. The design is cute and unique. The materials feel premium and the construction is solid - there are no protruding threads, the zipper closes well, the shoulder straps feel strong, not flimsy. The shoulder straps are a little tight at first, but after a few adjustments you'll feel more comfortable, although they can still be uncomfortable with broad shoulders. Speaking of size/space: laptop, charging cable, two laptops, diary, wallet, phone, writing utensils and a textbook fit in and I still have some space. I love organizer bags! My laptop fits easily in the lightly padded laptop compartment, which while not enough to protect against major falls, at least I don't have to worry about the laptop getting damaged or crushed along the way. Cons: The front pocket buttons are oddly placed and difficult to open/close and the backpack may be too small for some people.////UPDATE: I've been using this backpack for over two years. now, and it holds up pretty well to daily commuting and school use. Very minimal signs of wear. Nylon is definitely water repellent (at least in light rain) and easy to clean too. The zippers and shoulder straps are still strong. The front pocket buttons are annoying as always, but amazingly survived many opening/closing attempts. (It's an ongoing struggle.) On the other hand, decorative leather parts are beginning to wear/peel in small strips; The worst thing is the leather strap that holds the top handles together. Otherwise the strap works fine but will probably need to be replaced as I'm sure this backpack will last for many years to come.

Pros
  • Absolutely stunning!
Cons
  • Good, but not great
