Large enough for 2 golf cart batteries.
I used 2 of these double battery boxes to store 4 GC2 6V batteries in my motorhome. I did this to prevent the coupe bottom from rusting. The boxes were strong enough to be lifted when loading two golf cart batteries. I routed the included straps through the available slots in the bottom of the compartment just above the batteries. I modified the lids by cutting out extra slots to accommodate extra jumper wires connecting the lids to the straps and wires. The lids were tight enough to stay in place without being fastened. I also added wooden blocks to keep the batteries from sliding into both the case and the bay.
