Better than expected

Perfect. Good quality, excellent design and materials. Belt clips with screws were included. The brackets fit into the recesses in the bottom of the box and stabilize the box so it doesn't slide off wherever it is placed. The cable exit holes in the lid were just the right size and orientation to fit the main cables snugly, while still allowing some auxiliary cables to be routed through the front and side.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

As advertised, fits my Group 27 marine battery with space

As advertised. Fits my Group 27 Cost Co/Interstate Marine Battery (similar to SRM27) with plenty of side room. a semi-circular plastic button that needs to be depressed, but that was ok. Comes with a strap to attach the top of the box to the box. Also comes with small plastic parts that can be attached to plywood if required. Cables can come out of both corners.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Large and bulky

The box is good. in Batteries and Accessories

Camco Heavy Duty Dual Battery Box w/ Straps and Hardware - GC2 Group. I received the box with a postal label applied to the lid and the lid and body of the box were sealed with packing tape. No shipping protection. In addition, four clips, screws and two retaining straps were missing. I had to take pictures of the box and send them to the carrier to get the missing parts. The photos also show the scratched and worn outside of the box. It looks like it fell off my trailer but it will still…

Large enough for 2 golf cart batteries.

I used 2 of these double battery boxes to store 4 GC2 6V batteries in my motorhome. I did this to prevent the coupe bottom from rusting. The boxes were strong enough to be lifted when loading two golf cart batteries. I routed the included straps through the available slots in the bottom of the compartment just above the batteries. I modified the lids by cutting out extra slots to accommodate extra jumper wires connecting the lids to the straps and wires. The lids were tight enough to stay in…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Security

good item, be aware of the size of the battery and the size of the battery compartment you need, this item is slightly larger than my 12v battery by 2" x 6" of empty space. I use fuller to take up empty space so the battery doesn't slide in! But I can work with it and add an element to charge my small USB devices with a 120v 140w converter when dimming happens! By the way, my mower driver does the same! However, over time, charging a 12 volt battery is much easier! if outage lasts longer, say…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • poorly designed

Huge problem solved!

I have 2 6v interstate batteries in my caravan which has been a problem. The use of two conventional battery boxes led to major problems. They barely fit in length, and when using traditional boxes, the handles and cable entry points overlapped. I had to cut the handles so they barely fit, but this allowed water to seep into the boxes. I was planning on cutting the factory brace and moving it further, which would give a bit more length, but I was afraid to go ahead. First, you should never weld

Easily upgradeable or adaptable to suit your needs

3 very minor criticisms: 1) The supplied screws are slightly longer and remain exposed when using the strap clips on the underside in the battery compartment. 2) Typical movement of batteries inside the case during shipping, but not enough to be harmful. 3) Disappointing that they don't provide connection cables or screws for the top. But for the low price I didn't expect too many extras. I was able to "upgrade" this box with little effort using Styrofoam, two sets of pairs of AWG5 2ft battery…

Very strong and useful box

Well, this box was too big for my battery. It's not the box itself, it's me. lol but it was too high for my application. The hood wouldn't close, but that's because of the space I need to work in the engine bay. But the box was bought with the intention of moving the battery in the near future. even if it's not finished, I still use the base. The strap is easy to use. although it seems a bit lost. You just have to do your due diligence to make sure it's tight and then it will stay tight. The…
