I have 2 6v interstate batteries in my caravan which has been a problem. The use of two conventional battery boxes led to major problems. They barely fit in length, and when using traditional boxes, the handles and cable entry points overlapped. I had to cut the handles so they barely fit, but this allowed water to seep into the boxes. I was planning on cutting the factory brace and moving it further, which would give a bit more length, but I was afraid to go ahead. First, you should never weld a factory frame. So I started looking for different drawers without handles and different top configurations and I came across this one in my search. The male. what a relief. The box fits perfectly in the rack and both batteries fit perfectly in the box. I like that the cable entry points don't expand like the others. This was a great solution to my problem and saved me a lot of work.
