Review on 🔌 Upgraded Shaluoman Mini PCI-E Adapter for Enhanced Compatibility with BCM94360CD/BCM94331CD by Tropingzz Cece

I tried to buy this item but it was sent back to Revain so I bought it on eBay. This seemed like the right place to give some installation advice. I used this kit on a 2009 Mac Pro. If you have read other reviews and viewed photos here and elsewhere you may be confused. Here are a few points: 1) I used this kit without purchasing 4 pin connectors as shown in Michael Dingwell's review. Because the 4-pin connector is not used, you don't have to swap the black and red wires. I removed the connector labeled "USB" and twisted black with black and red with red, just like Michael did. I then used heat shrink tubing over the wires. I didn't do any soldering for this setup. You will end up with a cable with a two-pin connector on each end. 2) After removing the old BT module and cable, connect one end of the two-pin connector to the top two pins of the connector on the motherboard. black wire on the top pin as shown in Michael's review. It wasn't entirely clear to me from the picture, and the other pictures confused me when I first tried to connect to the two middle pins. Tips: Buy an Apple Broadcom card if it's a similar price. An Apple card offers much faster WiFi speeds than a regular card. Buy a Bluetooth antenna extension cable so you don't have to take the circuit board out. Use a screwdriver with a magnetized tip so you don't have to search for those dropped screws. Lightly hand-tighten the screws that secure the Broadcom card to the adapter. These nuts are only held onto the board by glue and can easily come loose. Check out other reviews and posts elsewhere for more tips. It would be nice if the cables weren't so thin. My wire strippers only work up to 20 AWG and they are much thinner so you have to be very careful when stripping wires.
