Can't press buttons without changing weight

I have other kitchen scales that I really like, but I use them for non-food items like weighing two part epoxy for mixing and small ones amounts of concrete and so on. So I wanted another one that I could devote just to eating. Okay: This scale is very close to what my old scale says, they are slightly different, but I really can't tell which one is more accurate. Both are very close together so this works fine for my needs. The metal bowl can be easily removed and placed in the dishwasher, so you can throw in raw meat or whatever. The backlit display is easier to read than my old one. The Bad: You can't touch any of the buttons without the weight suddenly changing. The hold button is what really grinds my gears. You should be able to press the hold button so it freezes the number on the scale screen (which can be especially useful with oversized items when you can't see the weight screen because the item is blocking it). But the hold button is utterly useless because if you try to press it, you're actually changing the weight. You can receive a weight up to three times the actual weight of the item. If you even LIGHTLY touch the front of the scale, the weight will change by an insane amount. On my old scale, you could touch and press the buttons without affecting the weight (see attached comparison photos). These scales are even hard to turn off because when you press the power button they think you're weighing something and try to calculate the weight before they find out you're trying to turn it off. So accuracy seems acceptable, and if you don't care that the hold button is utterly useless, it's a decent scale. I think this one looks a lot cooler and chicer than my old one. But pressing a button that results in a weight change doesn't work for me personally - I'm used to it on my other scales that don't and they're half the price of this one. I hope this helps you to know what you are getting.
