I've had one before and it's lasted 15 years with no problems. He died on a Sunday afternoon when Home Depot was the only store open. I was leaking water so I had to switch it to FloTec. This pump lasted two years so I went back to Old Faithful. Solid construction, powerful and quite quiet. The reason for the four stars is the need to drill a 3/16 inch hole in the outlet tube so there is no plug. My pit isn't closed and it's impossible to position this hole so that the narrow shot jet doesn't slosh a little outside the pit. Many manufacturers build this drain hole in the pump housing, other than that I'm happy.
