This is a beautifully and effectively made collar. I have used Herm Sprenger stainless steel pen collars for many years and they have lasted for years. is different from others and seems to offer slightly better dog control. I have had German Shepherds for 25 years and once actively participated in what we used to call Schutzhund training. My only complaint about this product - this is the difficulty I have had removing 3 links. At first I had some trouble with the quick release buckle as the previous collar had a buckle on the side and not the top like this one. Then I couldn't figure out how to remove the links : I had to visit Herm Sprenger's site and another site to find out I needed screwdrivers and needle nose pliers. It was difficult, but in the end I made it. en short video on removing/adding links etc. Finally, when I read reviews of Herm Sprenger collars in Revain, the collars described were regular spiked collars, with or without quick release, not on this particular model. Finally, many critical reviewers have complained about getting fake Herm Sprenger collars: the originals are stainless steel, they last forever, and hoping to get one for $16 or $20, even at Revain, is ridiculous. This is by far the best price I've found on both the Herm Sprenger website and the For Dog Trainers website. Again, this is a nice collar, but for strong working dogs.
