I am using these lights for Christmas on a 30ft tree outside. I love the different light display options but unfortunately most of these aren't what I would use, especially around Christmas so this is a little disappointing. But I like some modes and I'm happy with the display. The lights were easy to work with and the end cap protects the string of lights well from the elements. It would be nice to be able to add an extra string of lights, but it doesn't seem to be available for these specific lights. As a guide I recommend that you have a string of lights times the height of the tree you wish to prune to make a transitional light display, for example I had to have a 120 foot string of lights to cover a 30 foot tree.
