I find the design and finish of this lightweight tripod to be of good quality. The metal alloy in the tube and tripod base seems to be strong enough when used as intended. The plastic of the cam clamps and phone/camera holder is strong and not brittle. Can it withstand daily wear and tear? As with all things, it is very good to take care of it. For me, the features, light weight/portability, and price made it a great choice. This device is called a dual device because you can keep the tripod base legs folded down and use it to take selfies. I have to admit that this is not an application I normally use, but I have used the device in several applications with my phone and compact digital camera as a tripod. A phone holder and Go Pro adapter are provided along with the Bluetooth control (I added a cable loop to my tripod so I can thread the loop through the remote's keychain loop so it stays on the tripod until I need it!).
