Continue reading. I'll start by saying that the materials seem to be really high quality. And the shelf looks good, is easy to assemble and serves its purpose. A time long. what is shit Those crazy little rubber rings designed to hold up an entire shelf with added weight. Like others, I was delighted with my new shelf. And a month later, I was just standing in the shower, stunned, as my toiletries went into shelf-lift mode and slowly slid down the rail. Of course I found the reviews annoyed about this when my issue came to light, not prior to purchase. I've seen some reviewers screw it up, others tried welding or bolting it to save it. And to be honest, it all sounded pretty crappy. So I tried to find something simpler that would help secure the shelves without spending a lot of money and still allow me to take them apart without too much hassle. Enter: Cobra Seal Repair Tape. $6 to save your shelf. Honestly, even if you don't have any slipping problems (yet), just do it. The added security is amazing. I didn't think it would work because the tape doesn't feel very sticky. And I was concerned about the durability/water resistance. But it stretches perfectly and securely and conforms to the rod. So I left the rubber bands on the handlebars where I wanted and then wrapped 2 layers of this stuff tightly around them to secure them. The tape sticks like a dream, it stays on the water and when the time comes it's easy to peel off. Wonderful. MARVELOUS! Do you have to do Macgyvers on a brand new product to make it work? Absolutely not. Is it possible to easily and quickly repair a quality shelf for less than $6? Optimistic! 4/5 on Regal 10/10 on Cobra Band.
