These two sewing rods are great for hemming under hems and other fabric edges when sewing. No more measuring and pinning and then ironing the pins. Instead I can turn the fabric over on a ruler as the ruler can withstand high temperatures. I particularly like that the ruler is in inches rather than metric. I sewed too long to switch to metric. Note however that the description says it is heat resistant up to 220 degrees or up to 280 degrees for short periods and this is obviously Celsius. By US standards, 220 degrees is 428 degrees, and the average steam iron on the cotton setting is about 400 degrees. There is also a silicone pad to rest a hot iron on.
