Any great theater headset that costs a little over $100 sucks. I knew it, but I had to try anyway. I won't be an idiot and get her back. I'll probably sell them on CraigsList for $40. So what's the deal? As with the others, the image is sharp but too small. Movies are surrounded by a thick black border on all sides, which reduces the actual image you see. The headset is not comfortable for me. It feels like a plastic vise is squeezing my head. If you think you can run a PC of any power, forget it. Everything is too small. Worth a try? Not really. Although grainier, I'd rather watch a movie on something like an Oculus Go. You get a bigger picture more immersion and more comfort. The sound isn't bad, but if you don't use them for more than 5 minutes before selling them, what's the difference? In 2020, it's novelty at best and junkyard at worst. This is an honest review and I've always wanted cinema glasses so I said it with some sadness. 20 years ago that would have been really cool. Update: After a few days of use, I radically changed my mind. I continued to experiment with the headband and eye settings (more on that in a moment) until the comfort and image quality were good enough that I could actually work on my PC with a headset instead of a monitor. I went through the entire Blender tutorial on YouTube, switching between the tutorial and the Blender program. If you know anything about Blender, you know that it's full of SMALL menus and buttons, but I could see them all. And the image wasn't pixelated like a VR headset. The picture was crystal clear. So yes, you really CAN use this headset for real work on your PC, not just watching movies or playing games. This is exactly what I was looking for. An added bonus is that you can lie on the couch with the keyboard on your lap. I have a standard keyboard and mouse attached to a little velcro and I can put everything on my lap. Imagine actually working in bed! That is possible. As you get used to the image, it will "get bigger" over time. What I first thought was a small picture, actually not bad at all. Blender again for reference. One thing I really like about this headset is that you can focus the lenses so you don't have to wear glasses. I can't understand why most headsets on the market don't allow this! So no, I'm not going to sell this headset after all. I'll probably use it a few times a week when I'm on the couch but want to keep working. so you don't have to wear glasses. I can't understand why most headsets on the market don't allow this!
