Unfortunately this is our second purchase. Ours is brown too. One for our 50 lb dog and one for our 11 lb dog. We have condolence cards, an ink paw print, a cremation certificate and collars along with the remains. I have a picture and a clay paw print behind glass. I made plaques with their names and dates and added them at the top. Added a photo of the brown box. They have a strong chemical smell so I kept the lid open for several days. They're also chalky, so I rub them off. I like the ability to put items in a box. I want the box to be solid wood. I would pay more for better value as it is used as an urn. I placed one on her pup's bed and the other on a tray with his blanket, favorite shirt and toys.
