Reading the reviews after buying this product is driving me crazy. If you follow the instructions you will have no problem! As simple as that! First off is the VESSEL EXIT. It's tight and feels like you could break the plastic if you really start pulling, but it slides out for cleaning. I took it off by placing the jar under my left hand and with the thumb and forefinger of my right hand I grabbed a small notch in the tank and shook it back and forth and pulled it out. When the build is dry it will come out fine. If it's wet it will take a little more effort. For people complaining about the filter I'll admit you might have had a lemon, but as far as I can tell most problems can be avoided by rinsing the filter with water before use and the first few pits Dispose of the filtered water according to the instructions. Follow the directions, keep the water in the fridge, clean it regularly, change the filters when your water's flavor is no longer filtered and you probably won't have any problems. If it turns out that this is not the case, I will change my rating.
