I started getting pain (arthritis) in my hands; especially the thumb. I use KT tape, it's great, but sometimes it's too much of a hassle. These gloves seem damn good at relieving my pain, although I feel like the compression isn't enough. I bought them specifically to wear at night to give my hands a rest when they hurt, but I've worn them while typing and even used them kayaking! They washed great (I used a garment bag in the washing machine in the cold and dried them). I recommend them if you have any pain in your hands. They're light, comfortable, and really work for me.
