Review on Midland HH54VP Portable Emergency Weather by Justin Reedy

I bought this product to take with me when travelling, especially at times when we may not have cell service for our various iPhone weather alerts. On a recent trip here in Florida we found ourselves on the brink of a very violent thunderstorm. Luckily this time we had cell phones and TVs to keep up with the storm, but I figured we needed a better and more reliable warning system to carry around. After reading many reviews of different portable weather radios, I settled on this one and tested it at home against our home system. So far, so good. Although it is AC powered, it also has batteries for portability. I'm planning to buy a power converter so we can power it from our trailer's on-board batteries. The audio is very clear and there is a choice of alarm codes. It also has the SAME program, which is easy to set up, as well as a home mode and a travel mode. I recommend this product.
