MAKE SURE YOU COOK THIS FIRST. I was cooking pasta in a pressure pot (fry, don't pressure cook) and was about to make fettuccine. Well, the colander worked fine (the mesh is bigger than you really need for spaghetti noodles), but I should have checked the pot better after pouring out the water. My milk was wasted because a few pieces of metal were starting to harden and curdle and I knew it was coming from the strainer at the bottom of the pot. I was so angry I didn't think to take a picture but believe me it was metal. black, and the white milk turned a little gray. I had to clean the pan and start over. I washed it very well before the first use, but. not happy with the way he welded the metal coating. I no longer used it for pasta but I use it for boiled eggs. Seems to work fine for this. I'm not sure I'll use it for veggies unless I line it with parchment first. Disappointed but acceptable.
