The best basket for IP!

I've looked at a lot of steamer baskets and settled on this two-ply basket. Used a few times, works and looks great. It can be a bit of a hassle to clean if something sticks, but I just make sure to wipe it off quickly while it's still fairly warm.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • It's OK

Doesn't work with 6L pressure cooker

My 6L pressure cooker won't build pressure with the large basket installed. As a result, the pot no longer closes properly and steam escapes. It took me a while to figure out what the deal was; I thought there was something wrong with my pan. But unfortunately it is a basket. The smaller basket works fine on the standard stand, but the larger basket doesn't.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No power

FAILED for 6qt - Won't load with basket in

While I was excited to see such an accessory featured in my 6qt Instant Pot, I was disappointed that it didn't fit. The IP doesn't press down on the large basket until you remove the handle. Remove handle. Serious? Isn't the easy one-handed removal of the basket one of the characteristics of such a basket? If I could do it again I wouldn't have spent $19.99 on it.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

This two basket combo takes the Instant Pot to the next level!

This double basket accessory is the perfect addition to your pressure cooker. I've used it to cook chicken in the lower basket and two large sweet potatoes in the upper basket. Everything is done at the same time without mixing juices. I also used it to make my monthly batch of chicken broth. I put all the chopped veggies on the bottom, under the basket, and then I put the whole chicken in the basket. When it's done I can take the chicken out, remove the bones and add the chicken to the broth…

Very nice basket set!

These nesting baskets make efficient use of the space in your multicooker. They store easily in the inner pot (I turn the IP stand upside down so the legs of the basket line up with the legs of the stand). I store the cable in the lower basket and measure it in the upper one. The lid still fits. Recommended. UPDATE: One of the welds on the lower basket holding the wire frame to the rim has come apart. Still works if the second one doesn't break. UPDATE 2: The 2nd leg finally came loose so I…

ATTENTION! TO REMOVE RESIDUES COOK IN A PAN ON THE STOVE FIRST

MAKE SURE YOU COOK THIS FIRST. I was cooking pasta in a pressure pot (fry, don't pressure cook) and was about to make fettuccine. Well, the colander worked fine (the mesh is bigger than you really need for spaghetti noodles), but I should have checked the pot better after pouring out the water. My milk was wasted because a few pieces of metal were starting to harden and curdle and I knew it was coming from the strainer at the bottom of the pot. I was so angry I didn't think to take a picture…

Not safe for anything heavier than spinach!

I have several instant pots that I use all the time. I saw this two shot basket and thought it would be a handy addition to my 6 liter pitcher. First I put the sweet potatoes in the big basket. As they went out, I grabbed the handle to pull them out of the IP. I was lifting them about three inches out of the pot when the handle came loose and the basket full of very hot cooked yams fell back into the very hot water at the bottom of the IP. Very insecure! The picture on the Amazon page even…
