I bought these for my son, he hasn't worn them yet but when he tried them on he said they were too heavy, I'm not sure all snowshoes are meant to fit like this?

- They appear to be of very good quality and seem to keep my son's feet warm and dry this winter.
Cons
- There may be a strong chemical odor that may irritate some children and parents.
