Excellent speaker, mount leaves something to be desired

Excellent speaker. This in itself is worth the cost and of great value. The mount is a good concept, but it's not on the same level of quality as a speaker. It doesn't fit my 31.8mm handlebar, thick handlebar but not an uncommon size. I had to mount the speaker in my bike's rear rack, which is a much more difficult place to access while riding, but the only place it could fit. Even with the mount as tight as possible, the speaker still pinches and only moves over uneven pavement. It would have been better, if the screw on the bracket was a hex shape and not plastic so I could tighten it with a wrench. It's really just a nut/ball mount that needs strengthening. When I mount the speaker, I place it where I want it and after 5-10 minutes of driving, the speaker pushes the mount to an extreme position. When I drive over a speed bump, I hear the speaker in the mount bouncing. For this reason I would not advise installing it on your bike if you are going to ride off-road or on tarmac of less than perfect quality. The speaker is quite heavy, which I don't care, but if you're backpacking or are serious about gear weight, this might not be the best option for you. and after 5-10 minutes of driving, the speaker in the bracket is pushed to an extreme position.
