Review on 12V 800MA Automatic Trickle Battery Charger Maintainer For Car, Motorcycle, Tractor - LEICESTERCN by Eddie Orrell

I have a Firman generator with an electric starter on it, and due to my negligence, the 12v battery died because I left it turned on. Rather than spending over $50 on getting a new battery, I figured it should be rechargeable, so I bought this battery charger.The unit itself is very small, like a regular wall wart with two alligator clips (seen in the stock photo). Connecting the device is as simple as clipping the red clamp to the positive terminal and the black clamp to the negative. Then, simple plug it into the outlet.Since the battery was completely dead, I expected to see the indicator light on the wall wart turn red. However, it was green, indicating it was in float mode and not recharging mode. This had me concerned, but I left the charger on for a few hours just to see if the battery would charge. It did in fact charge, but it was barely anything.Still wanting to give it a chance, I left it charge for 24 hours, and lo and behold, the light changed from green to red. Now, I dont know if it is actually in recharge mode or what, but I let it sit for yet another 24 hours. 48 hours later, the generator will start up with the battery.TLDR: Battery charger works, but dont expect batteries to charge in under 48 hours. It charges extremely slowly.Update: The seller reached out to me due to the negative review and has indicated the will be changing the description to show that it should not be used on totally dead batteries, and that 12v batteries will take a long time to charge. I'm giving an additional star for customer service.
