This product will only work if you remove the inner plastic. Trying to puncture it hurts because the inner plastic is flexible and doesn't tear easily. I screwed up the first hat by trying to use it as is, it was very frustrating. Trying to use the metal hook was difficult because you can't just walk in and hurt your head. Once I cut out the inner plastic it was so easy and effective. I used a thick highlight solution to keep it from getting into the other holes in the cap. Simply apply the solution to the hair strands and do not rub the solution, this is not necessary. Great price just not 5 stars because you need to modify this product to make it work properly and safely.
