I bought these little flow meters to help with my mowing project. A voltmeter that monitors the battery and charging system prevents surprises. The meter was relatively well made, had a very nice display (green) and was easy to install. No initial problems. I've read about possible inaccuracies, but I was looking for 12.0-13.0V DC, so a tenth wasn't a problem. Then both the first and second counters failed after about an hour, I observed the polarity. The problem can be that these gauges cannot handle spikes that occur during the engine cranking cycle. In the picture, the error indicator is lit when the meter is off. It may be more acceptable for these gauges to be mounted on a stable battery pack, but a 100 percent failure rate precludes this type of application.
