Review on Sceptre Brushed E248W-19203S Monitor with ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ 75Hz Speakers: The Perfect Upgrade for Your Setup by William Ginthner

Cropped edges, poor color reproduction, great secondary monitor.

I bought this monitor for $100. Please read the updated review at the end. Given the price range, don't expect too much. Multiple HDMI slots plus VGA are a good selling point for this monitor alone. The speakers are below average, but I think it's better to have than not for most in this price range. Another nice addition is the VESA mount capability, although that's pretty standard these days. Color accuracy on this panel is terrible. It looks very blurry and too bright. However, if you know how to correct color using built-in windows or NVIDIA, you can fix these problems. I'll say I'm comparing it to my $500 monitor, so take that as a grain of salt. FOR GENERAL USE this monitor is great! If you need a second or third monitor, that's enough. Whether you're just starting out in PC gaming, PC gaming, or just need a different laptop screen, this is perfect. However, if you require high color fidelity, I would refrain from doing so. Also, the pictures are a bit deceptive. The frame measures approximately 1/4 inch. There is a plastic bezel around the screen and then the screen has a black band all the way around. However, I can see through it, and some can't. UPDATED: January 21, 2021 *IMPORTANT* The edges of my screen are getting cut off! On many televisions, this is referred to as overscanning. This can usually be fixed by changing the screen image, but this doesn't work on this monitor. I tried "Full" and "Dot by Dot". I've also tried auto setup and factory reset. Nothing works.
