Review on Philips Norelco AT830 46 Frustration by Anita Barlow

I have been using Philips Norelco shavers for a long time and am very satisfied. The 2 I had would not hold a charge simply due to the maximum number of charge cycles for NiCad batteries. Otherwise, both worked perfectly and can still be used as long as the charging cables are connected. I read some reviews of the 4500, some of which were negative, but I still decided to buy it and decided to wait to write a review until I had some experience with it. I am completely satisfied with the device. I get a shave almost identical to the old models (the 4500 uses the same set of blades!) and it holds a charge and delivers that charge. The one hour charge time is much better than the older models I've had and the shaver feels very similar to my old razors. The only difference may be that this new model doesn't spin as fast. However, I shave well. I've been on the road for about half a year, so my 4500 stays in my "travel bag"; I still use the old ones at home, with the cable attached. I do NOT immerse the 4500 to clean it. I use a brush and also have a Norelco shaving head lube that I use from time to time/occasionally/when I feel the shaving heads could use it. I think it's excellent value for money. Amazing battery life, great handling and a nice, close shave.
