In short, this vinyl is easier to maneuver in small areas. For larger ones (like the roof or hood of a car) you'll need a hair dryer to remove some of the creases. Also, I recommend having a second pair of hands to help with larger projects. Even after unrolling it overnight I expected it to be a bit more pliable and meet decent resistance. ------ So I bought it with the intention of sticking it on the roof of my 14 Ford. Concentrate (the idea of wrapping the roof in vinyl) to 'improve' the look of my car - most places around me charge 250-300 for a process that seems as simple as 5' 3" Madam, I really wanted to show them who matters. Boss (. and also spend 1/10th the cost these stores are asking). I found a YouTube video that I carefully watched over 5 times and that shows that this can be a custom project without using a heat gun. They used Avery vinyl but I went with that brand (don't remember why now) I confidently decided to take my project in Tackling, only to be overwhelmed by an unnecessary amount of gusts of wind (they don't tell you to check the weather app before starting these projects.) My spirits weren't broken yet, so I set out next morning en ready for the 2.0 trial. I measured once, twice, five times - I used my magnets to hold the vinyl in place. Armed with my little kitchen stool, I worked up the courage to expose the glue as my YouTube friend demonstrated with ease. I've watched the videos so many times that I even trained myself using the words from the video - start from the back, reattach your magnets after you've glued them. Once everything is glued, use a squeegee starting in the middle and going in the same direction to avoid wrinkles. Sounds easy enough, right? Right. I'm not sure if it's the length of my arms or even my lack of shoulder strength, but I couldn't get him to lie flat across the roof for all my will. There were wrinkles I tried to pull out but. They just won't cooperate. I even considered leaving her, but I knew it wasn't looking good - believe me, I insisted for about 30 minutes. keep moving my stool. At one point I got so annoyed with it that I ripped it off and threw it in the trash. Now I have 1/3 of the film and I have nowhere to place it, although I can use it to create lighter strokes on the car or even in the showroom. although frankly I could live with it and pay that price for it. Pride has suffered a little.
