What about the power cord? I needed a longer cable to get my Surface Book Charger from the outlet to the shelf where I wanted to charge my book, 7ft. Instead of using an extension cord, then plugging in the power adapter as well as a cable that plugs directly into the laptop and keeping it all on a shelf, I was lucky enough to find this. The cord seems strong; at least no worse than a normal cable. I also like the right angle connection on both ends. They save a little space on each side and help to be less bulky. In terms of functionality, there is no tangible difference between it and the regular cable. They run to the same spec, so manufacturing horrible aside, one should work the same as the other. The Power Brick is securely fixed at the side. I attached this picture to the review. So if you need a longer cable for your Surface Book charger (or another charger with the same specs), this is a great option.
