I use this siphon to drain residual water from my spa when I do a water change. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that there is no hose connection at the outlet (it is designed for aquariums). So I removed the ring at the end of the siphon that shuts off the suction (allowing the tank to be filled rather than emptied) and added a short clear tube that was snug enough to ensure a good seal without pinching. - In fact, I had to run the tube under hot water to soften it before it reached the end. I then added a hose fitting to the end of the pipe (see photo). I can now drain my hot tub and drain the water with a garden hose attached to the end. It does the job.
