Review on Tiny Arcade Qbert 388 by Imran Roach

Qbert - looks good, plays terrible

Here is my review of the tiny arcade qbert machine --------------------- --- --------- ----------- ------------- Backstory - qbert is one of the most well known video game characters ever with pacman. I love this game too. Yes, it repeats after the 4th round and then the 9th round in slots. but at the higher levels it is still difficult. There are many handheld versions of this game on cartridges and some standalone versions. Most of them match the gameplay very well with some minor differences. Normal 4 directions. Nice to see this new standalone version tag. with him. It's pretty easy to take out and store to save the car when you've remodeled it. Batteries are included in the hardware ----------------------- ------------------ This is the same tiny body shape as all other small slot machines. the tent lights up as usual. The joystick is on the left and interferes with gaming, but the response is very good. There are the usual 2 buttons to insert a coin and 1 to start the game. Display -------- The display is clear and bright and the colors look good. It's best played in the dark as it's not that bright and probably hard to see during the day. Pretty.- Kbert moves too fast which makes it easy and difficult to control him at times - Enemies don't come out at the right time - Enemies don't make proper sounds - when you jump on the disc and land on the cube, it DOESN'T CHANGE ANY COLOR, that's bad, because often you need it to fill the board, which completely changes the strategy - NO EXTRA MEN? I've been playing it for a while and still don't have the extra insane, has random AI and jumps all over the place and DOESN'T COME FOR YOU which is weird and totally wrong - the arrows showing the color are moving way too fast--- ---------The joystick is very responsive and works well diagonally.Buttons are not used during gameplayPros---------------Very lightVery smallBattery includedCons responsive controls -- -----------no arcade port too many flaws in gameplay similar to Qbert but overall similar----------------Price was $20 which is good is, I ordered it online as I can't find any of these in stores I would rate it 2.5 stars out of 5 or three. It's a nice handheld game, similar to Qbert, but the gameplay just isn't there and it's a very poor emulation of the game. If you love Qbert, get it, but don't expect it to play very well. .I'm disappointed in this and will play a few more times before removing it. looks like we'll have to wait for someone else to get it right.
