Review on 🔊 Sewell Silverback Speaker Wire with Banana Plugs - 10ft, 12 AWG, OFC, 259 Strand, Terminated by Jason Richardson

Good quality 12 gauge cable plus good PVC jacket. The Silverback connectors, which I like for the two set screw design, really hold the cable. The problem is that with 12 gauge wire and a thick PVC jacket, the person assembling it often exposes the wire. That's not a big problem if the silver back covers are screwed on properly. I received the cable and the two "silver" screw caps were completely removed. This may be due to the design and delivery result and not necessarily the person who assembled it. However, Sewell has to deal with this quality control issue. I spent some time inspecting the cable and it turned out that whoever assembled it had cut off some of the twisted ends when stripping the wire. Many connections as 14 gauge would still work fine but I still have doubts about the build technique. Knowing the Silverback connectors when wiring my own speakers, I simply rebuilt the connection myself. Love the connectors, the cable works and looks great, easy to use, flexible design. Would I buy it again if needed? Yes. Can I check the plugs again if they are loose on arrival? Yes.
